Can you believe summer vacation will be over before we know it?? I hope that your summer and Ramadan have been fun and beneficial.
The back to school shopping ads have been out for a few weeks now. Can't they give us some time without having to think of back to school shopping!? Anyway, it is a good idea to start scouting out items. For my own kids' supplies, I like to look through the Sunday newspaper and see where the deals are. Last year I scored all my marble notebooks for free with a few 5 dollar minimum purchases at Office Max. I am hoping for a deal like that again soon. So far this year, I've gotten scissors for 1 cent each. If you search hard enough, most of the supplies can cost way under a dollar.
Please make sure to check out the class supply tab on the top to see what is needed for this year. Everything should come in labeled with the student's name. Try to refrain from personalized decorated pencils and folders. Make sure the pencils come in sharpened! It saves a lot of time and headache to always have sharpened pencils on hand.
I have asked for a few choice donation items on the bottom of the list. These items will help stock our classroom for projects and activities. I have also asked for a $20 dollar classroom donation so I don't have to (hopefully!) bother you for more supplies in the school year. The key word is "hopefully." :) Everything you give goes back to our class and helps your child .
Jazak Allah!!
